I am in my final semester in the certificate program at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. I hold a B.A. in magazine journalism from Columbia College Chicago and I have taken a variety of other courses at wonderful institutions of higher learning such as Joliet Junior College, Illinois State University, and New York University.
My real life education has happened in the south suburbs and north neighborhoods of Chicago, New York City, and most of the state of Rhode Island. There were probably a few lessons learned during brief stints in Normal, Illinois (that really is its name) and Des Moines, Iowa as well.
I have two older brothers and a twin sister who was born nine minutes after me, which effectively makes me a middle-child.
I have a girlfriend of nearly 8 years, Bonnie. She has her own brilliant blog at listofnow.com. I live with her, two cats and one puppy in Providence, Rhode Island.
Free-time activities often involve kind geeks, the ocean, a variety of books, and NetFlix live-streaming videos.
